Pearl and Jordyn are back to give their take on affirmations.
Starting out the episode with the importance of chocolate milk, weekends, and new bedroom furniture, our hosts only take it up from there. We get a quick job update from one host, and led in a grounding exercise from another. This week our hosts are uncharacteristically upbeat and focus on the way they fully enjoy this season of life by keep themselves grounded and in the moment --as much as they can.
As the episode continues on, the definition of an affirmation is provided, along with how intermingled affirmations and mindfulness can be. Once that's established, the two share some personal and professional applications of that combo-combo. Jordyn even shares her personal affirmations with us all- while sharing some tips on how to make affirmations accessible for all memory spans (even Pearl's!). The two discuss how trauma and affirmations intersect, and the importance of being able to notice realities outside our own default method of being. The episode wraps up with some insight on reparenting, how to make the world a bit less tricky, and the importance of reclaiming our time. Stay tuned at the end for a guided affirmation model, rather than the normal blooper. Oooh! So serious!
