In this episode, we delve into the life and criminal activities of Katherine Knight, born on October 24th, 1955 in Tenterfield, New South Wales, Australia. Knight, who came from a dysfunctional family, was the youngest of twins and witnessed severe domestic abuse as a child. Her volatile upbringing paved the way for her own disturbing path, leading her into several abusive relationships, and eventually turning her into a notorious criminal.

After quitting school at the age of 15, Katherine Knight found employment as a butcher, a job she considered her dream career. Her fascination with slaughter grew, as confirmed by her habit of hanging her butcher knives above the bed wherever she lived. Her relationships with men were erratic, brutal, and at times, lethal. After a string of violent incidents, Knight ended up in a psychiatric hospital and later confessed intentions to murder her estranged husband and his mother.

In 2000, things took a horrific turn when Knight brutally killed her partner, John Price. She stabbed him 37 times, skinned his body, and hung it on a meat hook. In a gruesome turn of events, she was found to have cooked portions of John Price's body, apparently intending to feed them to his children. Arrested and taken into custody, she was charged with murder and subjected to a high-profile trial. In November 2001, she became the first woman in Australia to get a life sentence without the possibility of parole.

In this harrowing episode, we dissect Katherine Knight's unsettling criminal history, bringing to light the horrors that can occur in a seemingly ordinary suburb. If you enjoyed the podcast, please like and share it with your friends. See you next week. https://www.instagram.com/truecrimewithlux/
