Awa Bousso Dramé is a Senegalese, Beninese and Cape Verdean Ph.D. student in earth and environmental sciences, specializing in coastal geomorphology. Her research couples geospatial technology and artificial intelligence to monitor marine and coastal systems in West Africa to support decision-making, policy implementation and community adaptation in the context of climate change and the Anthropocene. She has overcome race, age and gender barriers to pursue her goal of achieving excellence.
She is one of the 20 African women researchers rewarded for the excellence of their scientific work through the For Women in Science Young Talents Program for Sub-Saharan Africa, led by The Fondation L’Oréal and UNESCO.
