Motorists who paid their e-toll bills will not be refunded, as Gauteng government pays R3.8 billion into SANRAL debt

Gauteng Economic Development MEC, Lebogang Maile, says the provincial government has paid three-point-eight billion rand in its first instalment to service the debt owed to roads agency, SANRAL for the construction of the now defunct, E-tolls. Speaking to members of the media in Johannesburg earlier this morning, Maile said Gauteng was is expected to fork out 30 per cent of the debt, with the remaining 70 per cent to be paid by national government.
