We begin season 4 of Veterans In Politics with our very first military spouse and the often untold story of the partners behind the politicians. Felicity Cornelius-Mercer is known not just as the wife of Johnny Mercer MP, but also as having had a successful career in her own right. She also runs Johnny's Parliamentary office, setting it up from scratch after that somewhat surprise election victory of 2015, when their family life was turned upside down as they entered into politics.
Our host Jonny (without an H!) first met Felicity at a Party Conference, and ever since then, the Mercers have both been fantastic advocates of the wider work of CampaignForce. It made sense to sit down with her in our podcast, and get the other side of politics out there to our community.
This is a fun and honest chat with a self confessed colouring-in addict and mum of three. It's also Felicity's first ever podcast, and we doubt it will be her last. You'll see why! Thanks Felicity for choosing us and having the bravery to speak out.
