Happy 2022! I am changing up the format this year to conversations with powerful creators who are on the spiritual path, to help guide others who are on this same path.
My lovely friend Celia is joining me on this episode as we discuss my new sobriety, the messy middle, the difficult process of awakening and doing the shadow work that we all have to do before we can be a new self, and to go through this process with self-love, healing practices, and through making self-honoring choices.
I am sharing here very rawly, my new-found journey through sobriety and leaving the escape-hatches behind and having the ego turn inward and the deep shadows of depression, and seeing the messes we have created and now have to clean up - and discovering that the real clean up job is inside, and all the self-destructive behaviors that stem from shame, guilt, and anger turned inward.
We talk about trauma living and stuck in the body and how they get locked in us, and ways we can begin to heal and untangle our self from the mess our ego has made of things.
We are spiritual beings having and using a human experience. We share the traumas, the hurts, the awakening process, spiritual growth, and authenticity.
