These are separate check points that allow you to get through airport security quicker because you have applied and have been prescreened. Clear is in about 224 airports.
What happening is that there have been a couple of security breaches…so TSA and Clear are looking into updating systems and procedures. This won’t happen overnight, but they are looking at possibly having to show physical ID as these kiosks.
You do have to pay for this service, and you will be screened. Its cost approximately $189.00 a year.
