It’s no secret that being labeled a “job hopper” can potentially “black list” you from getting that dream job offer you’ve always wanted. But why? Job hopping can be one of the most effective ways to exponentially increase your pay/salary in very short periods of times, especially for women and minorities...so it’s no surprise that Black women may be more predisposed to take our talents elsewhere once we’ve hit that proverbial “glass ceiling” of success at a company.

In this week’s episode, we discuss how one of the most powerful CEOs in tech, Bozoma Saint John was labeled a “job hopper” after leading marketing operations at four big tech companies in 4 different years and the pros and cons of contracting versus full-time work.

We also attempt to answer why Black women seem to be more subject to being “punished” or viewed negatively for making career moves that simultaneously increase our skills, knowledge and pockets, while the majority are often seen as go-getters taking charge of their careers with endless possibilities for success? What’s really going on? Let’s get into it.
