This is part 2 of topic, Incivility and Bullying in Nursing. In part 1, I discussed the four types of violence, incivility and bullying in the workplace, and offered ways to address this serious problem from the victim's perspective. In this episode, the host offers solutions from a leadership perspective. The triple R approach Review, Reprimand/Remove, and Restore - aims to restore a culture of civility, confidence, and safety for nurses and patients. Please offer your thoughts by emailing me.

I became a nurse in 2007 and have had stints in the emergency department, medical intensive care unit, neuro intensive care unit, coronary care unit, post anesthesia care unit, electrophysiology lab, flight nursing in the U.S. Air Force, and clinical nursing instructorship. I served as an FDA drug investigator for four years. I am U.S. Air Force combat veteran and am currently on active duty as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service. My mission is to help nurses find their voice and thrive by providing helpful tips on matters ranging from resiliency to career advice on civilian and military nursing.
