Director, writer and editor Matthew I. Schmidt talks candidly about his approach to remove regrets in his life. In this Brain Burrow Digging Deep interview, Matthew shares about the satisfaction of failing…versus never trying at all.
He recounts a pivotal moment that sparked his “no regrets” attitude: noticing alcoholic root beer in the store.
Though he promotes taking risks, Matthew also cautions, “Don’t throw yourself into the unemployment line pursuing a dream. It is much easier to build a foundation and work off that than springboard from the bottom.”
Matthew is known for his work on Happy Birthday Hannah (2018) and Tales of Found Footage (2019).
