You should have a proper career story for your break, what kind of value and things came about from this break.

So for example, if you’re away for mental health what were some things you’ve done during that time of your mental health break. Maybe that is obtaining clarity on a new direction in your career or something along those lines. Or what about family leave or care?

What were some valuable things you've done in taking care of that family member, maybe you handled their bills or scheduled their transportation or coordinated appointments with doctors? That's a whole job description. So yes can actually add that into your job description. Your break can in essence have a whole new role on its own. You just have to pick up the valuable points that will align with your career path.

You want to handle them in that way. So yes we have to understand as sucky as it is not all employers are open to gaps in your career. Yes, some will question you. You need a proper response. If you prepare it right it will be an asset for you to move forward with the interview process. You can also add this as a job description who would've known?

In this episode, we dive into tactics, the reality of gaps, how to establish trends on acceptance and so much more!
