after a brief introduction to toxic masculinity, we're looking at hypermasculinity and hyperviolence in videogames.
in particular - can we do a queer reading of God of War and reconcile our enjoyment of the hacking 'n' the slashing with our queer and our compassionate sensibilities?
&& - can we see games like Metal Gear Solid as camp art, militaristic and yet anti-serious?
how do ideas of pacifism sneak to these videogames at all?
its super interesting, and neither for videogame fans nor videogame haters - it's just yabb dabba interesting, folks.
