In this Women’s History Month special, we delve into the extraordinary life and groundbreaking work of Dr. Gerty Cori, the first American woman to win a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. Born into a Jewish family in Prague in 1896, Gerty overcame societal barriers to become a pioneering researcher alongside her husband, Carl Cori.
