My birthday is coming up in a few days so I want to share my thoughts on a quote related to the passing of time that I’ve been pondering over recently:

People waste years of their lives and then, they beg for a few moments at the end.

This quote belongs to the romanian historian, politician, literary critic, and poet, Nicolae Iorga.

It inspires me to take massive action so that each passing day I know that I am one step closer to accomplishing my dreams.

It also reminds me of a famous article published in the Guardian a few years ago about the top 5 regrets of the dying, recorded by a palliative nurse.

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

2. I wish I hadn’t worked so hard.

3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Remember that decision/dream/project that you have been postponing for a while now waiting for the stars to align and have the optimal conditions?

It is time for you to TAKE ACTION TODAY.

It is time for you to believe in yourself and bet on yourself for a change.

YOU ARE ENOUGH!

Take a leap of faith or risk becoming an old man filled with regret…

What’s your greatest regret so far, and what will you set out to achieve or change before you die?

I would love to hear from you guys so please share your thoughts and questions on this topic in the comments section or contact me directly at hello@mensjourneytoday.com
