Along the way, she completed a master’s degree in public health and other certifications. She worked in several leadership positions for 12 years at the Southern Illinois University College of Medicine. Then she moved to Northeastern Ohio Medical University in various academic roles. She later moved to Duke University School of Medicine, first as Chief of Family Medicine, completing her tenure there as Founding Director of the Executive Coaching Program.
