No one is more qualified than Jay Morton to describe what that really takes to be one of the best. Jay's goal has always been to excel in his field. But growing up with a short attention span, he always gets into trouble. He left school with minimal grades and joined the military. He was lucky enough that he went into mountain troop and was exposed to climbing, skiing, and to the beauty of mountains which is something that the military can't provide. It was an eye-opener for him and felt that there's more out there in life than just being in the Special Forces. 14 years in the military, 4 years in the Parachute Regiment, 10 years in the S.A.S, x2 Everest Summits, and he is even a Directing Staff on Channel 4's SAS: Who Dares Wins and an Author. Have I missed anything? During my conversation with Jay, he shared how he decided to leave the military and forge a new career for himself, how he wanted to join the military as a kid growing up, and how his short attention span has enabled him to discover what he likes. Jay has also openly discussed the things he fears and the importance of a growth mindset. This episode is sponsored by BetterHelp.
