What's better than one special guest? Two, of course!
This week Louise is joined by Dr Jason Pallant, Lecturer in Marketing at Swinburne University of Technology. Jason is a retail expert with a special interest in shopping centres, shopping malls and department stores. Jason and Louise discuss the impact of Covid19 on retailing, measures shopping centres are taking to attract customers and what the future holds.
And our other special guest this week is Dr Paula Dootson, Senior Lecturer in Digital Economy at Queensland University of Technology. Paula and Professor Gary Mortimer have written a really interesting article in The Conversation about new strategies being introduced in retailing to combat consumer theft. Supermarkets are taking the lead and using self-surveillance techniques including something called 'self-reflection' at the self-serve checkout. Tune in to find out what this means for retailers and shoppers.
All this plus weekly retail news headlines.
