We all carry tribal energy within us. Tribal or cultural norms and taboos can hold particular power to evoke shame meant to control our behavior so that we act in ways approved of by our society, family or religion. But what is considered right or wrong is not fixed or static. Cultural norms vary wildly over time and across continents. What is OK in one place may get you killed in another. Questioning our cultural norms and shame is often part of the journey or self discovery and personal growth.
