IHPS aims to bridge the gap among academia, the business community, and healthcare policy by integrating academic resources into policy discussions and day-to-day business decisions, while also incorporating health and productivity management matters into academic research.
Dr. Goetzel plays a key role in leading innovative projects for various healthcare purchasers, managed care organizations, government entities, and pharmaceutical clients. These projects focus on conducting cutting-edge research to explore the relationship between health and well-being, medical costs, and work-related productivity. His expertise in health and productivity management (HPM), return-on-investment (ROI), program evaluation, and outcomes research is internationally recognized, and he has contributed extensively to the field.
Dr. Goetzel's contributions include the publication of more than 200 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, as well as frequent presentations at international business and scientific forums. He has also received several prestigious awards and recognition throughout his career including the Woodward Lecture Award by the U.S. Navy Environmental Health Center and the Mark Dundon Research Award from HERO.
