A few episodes back, we discussed an ongoing investigation on some high profile people in the cheer world and their alleged predatory actions. Names of victims in the predator were omitted to protect the anonymity of the children into respect the due process of law. Now it is clear who these people are. I suggested that coaches, parents, and gym owners keep their ears open and be willing to have tough conversations because more people would be coming forward with their own traumatic experiences. We are now starting to see that happen more and more. Continue to talk to your athletes and kids and let’s keep progress moving forward until all kids can feel safe and listened to.
