While aiming high with clear and SMART goals seems like the path to success, sometimes it can trap us. The "specific" part, meant to keep us on track, can turn into a cage, trapping us in a rigid plan. We all know that life will always throw twists and turns that we may not have control over, even if our plan is perfect. If our goals are too inflexible, we miss opportunities to grow and become better versions of ourselves. Life is about adapting, and sometimes, the best way to live life to the fullest is to loosen our grip on those overly specific goals and let life open us to the amazing changes that make us even better versions of ourselves.

Join the conversation with your host, Paul Lyngso, as he shares more insights on why SMART goals might ruin your happy life. When you get too specific in a goal, you create a binary. Anything you achieve that does not fit into alignment is seen as a failure, which is dangerous to your subconscious mind. Additionally, such goals pin you to the wall and rip you off the power to make adjustments and changes that could lead to a better and more meaningful life.
