BPFit got to sit down with Ken Berger, Founder and Owner of Max Velocity Fitness + Performance in Bayside, Queens. Staring out his professional career as a NBA Sports Journalist, Ken found that after 20 years the unhealthy lifestyle just wasn't worth it. He decided to take a leap and open up Max Velocity. His main focus as a Sport Performance Coach is injury prevention and optimizing performance. Combining his background in nutrition, Ken announced on this episode that he will be launching a website called hoopsscience.io in October! The main goal is to spread knowledge to young athletes that sleep, recovery and nutrition all play a big part in optimizing performance and staying healthy like the professionals.
