This week on the Tinah Talks podcast we are joined by Jeanelle, a registered nurse from Australia about burnout!
Jeanelle is a FIFO wife, mum of 2 and registered nurse passionate about beating and preventing burnout. She wrote and self-published her book 'Nursing the Nurse: The Ultimate 6-Step Guide to Beating Burnout' at the beginning of 2023 and has since launched the signature walkthrough program of the same name as well as the wellness app, Nursing the Nurse: Holistic Huddle which incorporates a holistic approach to the unique needs of the shiftworking nurse to go from surviving to thriving both at work and home.
Shockingly over 80% of people have experienced burnout at some point in their life. In todays episode we discuss the alarming statistics surrounding burnout, particularly in the healthcare industry, and explore the cultural factors that contribute to this issue.
Jeanelle openly shares her own experiences with burnout and discusses the importance of self-care, and the distinction between burnout and depression.
