When Caroline started it was a new beginning, and he listened to all the stations, but Caroline was his favourite by far. Later he became a singer in a band, then started doing discos when he was 18. Today we are going to be talking about field recording for the National Parks Service with recordist Chris Trevino. He tells us about his recent recording gig at Isle Royale Nation Park in Michigan, where he had his mics rolling in the park for 2 summer weeks. His goal was to capture the natural sounds of the pristine environment and the animals that call it home. Chris discusses how he got the contract with the Parks Service, how he prepared for 2 weeks with no power and what it took to pull it off once he was out in the wilderness.
