We get stuck in a vicious cycle of desperately wanting something that we think will make us happy, and pursuing it tirelessly in the hopes of attaining it. Once and if we do, and after we’ve adapted to it, the cycle starts again with something else that keeps us on our toes, forgetting to cherish the good life we already have.
