7 Myths of Leading Away from the Top | BPS1 E08
Manage episode 308130767 series 2987824
Preamble:
Leaders lead up, across and down in an organization. It is misleading to shy away from leading simply because one is not occupying the top position in a Parish or an organization. Myths promote useless speculations that are destructive to the body of Christ.
Questions:
What are the myths believed by people far from the top of an organization?
How do leaders overcome the myths believed by people not occupying the top position in Parishes or Departments?
Authentic leaders must debunk myths related to the position (myth 1), destination (myth 2), influence (myth 3), inexperience (myth 4), freedom (myth 5), potential (myth 6), and all or nothing (myth 7). To lead like Jesus, we must seek to make the greatest impact in the lives of His flock whether we are in the spotlight or not.
