Acting as chief integrator in the market for various functions including retail, wealth management, capital markets, insurance, investment banking, and commercial banking.
Since being named to this position in February 2020, Matthews has overseen commercial loan growth exceeding $310 million (108% growth) and commercial deposit growth of $279 million (70% growth). During his tenure, deposit market share for the Louisville MSA has grown $590 million (37% growth), taking 52bps of market share from competitors. Matthews was recognized as a Top Performer in 2023 with the CCB Performance Award. With more than 10 years of finance experience, he previously served as a CPA for BKD and Ernst and Young and owned his own financial planning practice with Northwestern Mutual.
