Today's guest is psychologist and business consultant, Hannah Lord. Hannah's goal is to rewire the cognitive pathways keeping people stuck through her work as a therapist and her online program, The Weight Lift.
I met Hannah on the streets of London when I heard someone shout "Mo!" She mentioned that she'd been listening to the podcast and had a different perceptive on love and romance. I felt a strong desire to have her on and I'm so glad I did.
Hannah mentions that this is the most difficult time in history to be single, and I'd have to agree. Luckily, we also go over what we need to do to navigate this time to eventually find true love. And surprise, surprise, it starts with you, not them.
Listen as we discuss:

  • 3:30: This is the most difficult period in history to be single. Why?
  • 9:00: Rejection Fatigue
  • 12:00: Hannah's experience treating alpha males in her practice.
  • 15:00: The Yin and Yang the balance between feminine and masculine.
  • 18:00: Why your brain seems to fight itself in weird moments.
  • 24:00: My experiences as a "giver" and Hannah's personal learnings in dating.
  • 29:00: Defining Masculine and Feminine properly.
  • 32:00: The alchemy of finding true love.
  • 35:00: What does it mean to "fall in love" vs. "being in love"?
  • 42:30: Until you understand yourself, finding love is far more difficult.
  • 45:00: Soul-Matching
  • 49:00: The Weight Lift and how to care for your mind like you do your body.
  • 56:30: The number one question: what are my needs?
  • 1:01:00: What is a need? Why don't we attract what we need?
  • 1:04:00: My number one need: to be free.
  • 1:06:00 Being seen is a core human need.
  • 1:08:00: The differences in how we express anger.
  • 1:10:00: A final overview of needs in a relationship.
