Episode 64: 15 Rhythms We Do With Our Kids

In this episode, I share 15 rhythms that we do or have done with our children as we long to intentionally teach them about Jesus + show them what it looks like to follow Jesus. Most of these are SO small and nothing crazy. SO many that I learned from other moms that have gone before me, or ideas I heard and changed for what worked best for our fam. My prayer is that these encourage and stir up ideas/rhythms that you can incorporate in your own home!
A little outline of the episode(all of these are explained further in the episode):

INTRO/PREFACE: It starts with US following and abiding in the Living God! It will be out of the overflow of us knowing, enjoying, and glorifying God that will have the most impact on our children.

2. Nighttime Book Routine - 1 Bible Story & 1 Chapter of Kid’s Pilgrims Progress

3. Family Bible (real bible)/Prayer Time

4. Why were you made? "To know God, to enjoy God, to glorify God."

5. “God created you, God loves you, God is kind to you, God is relentlessly pursuing you.” (First three from Like Me by Laura Wifler)

6. Why do I love you? /Why does God love you?
"Because I’m your son/daughter."
Is there anything you could do to make me love you more or less?
"No."

7. Today is the day the Lord has made…I will rejoice and be glad in it!

11. The New City Catechism

12. Prayer in the Car

13. Repetition

14. Patience is waiting with a happy heart.
