On this week’s episode of The DEEP Life, Dan & Elise are joined by Medicine Woman Brittany Smith.
Since a young age, Brittany has been a curious seeker. Fascinated by the natural world and the great mystery of all things unseen, her earliest friends were plants and animals. As she grew older and started to push the boundaries of life, she discovered the healing power of psychedelics. The fire of her passions ignited and she dedicated her life to exploring the planes of the mind, diving into the great mysteries of the cosmos, and allowing her curiosity and intuition to guide her. She currently lives in Nosara, Costa Rica where she has the great privilege of sharing this passion with others and holding ceremonial spaces for expansion where those special souls whose paths have intertwined with hers have the opportunity to remember the divine magic that lives inside us all.
This was an especially meaningful episode for Dan & Elise because, as they have mentioned on previous episodes, they recently returned from a life-changing experience in Costa Rica where as part of a weeklong transformational retreat they had the privilege of experiencing a beautiful psilocybin mushroom ceremony hosted by Brittany and her team.
This episode dives deep into the magic of mushrooms, both physically and spiritually. Brittany talks vulnerably about her personal experiences with these plant medicines and how she became a medicine woman and shares insight into her training and dedication to upholding these ancient traditions.
Throughout the conversation, Brittany also describes the differences between micro-dosing and macro-dosing and how each can affect our bodies and the neural pathways of our brains. She also gives excellent advice for anyone interested in psilocybin and other psychedelics as well.
