Why don't they work the way you want them to and exactly how you want them to. Picture this. You come across an ad that says "lose weight fast" with this all promising new fat burning pill. Gone are the days where you need to drink some funky tasting and smelling juice to lose weight. Now it comes in the form of a simple pill - revolutionary, right?

NOt so much, after you fork out $200 per month for this new weight loss supplement only to find that you're not getting the same results as Sally, and you want your money back.

But because of all the other diets you've tried, you're hoping this one will do the trick to help you burn belly fat fast, so your jeans don't dig into your tummy when you're seated, and you won't have to undo the button after eating, to give you that extra room to breath...

A few months pass, and you'll have to admit defeat that this is another fad diet scheme that you've wasted your money on again and succumb to the fat or the thought that "will you always be fat"?

With self-defeating thoughts like these and behaviours where you depend on food like a drug addict uses drugs or alcohol to soothe their insecurities, a fad diet won't help solve those problems that run deep.

How do I know this? Because this WAS me, desperate to find something, anything to shift this belly fat and lose the mom pooch without ever having children

But it didn't work. No matter how much money I threw at it, it never really told me why I was addicted to food in the first place.

And in today's episode, I dig deep into how and why diets that cause you to restrict yourself from food to lose weight are not sustainable long-term strategies.
