In this interview with Dr. Mary Claire Haver, author of The Galveston Diet, she emphasizes the importance of moving away from calorie counting and focusing on quality nutrition and movement, especially during menopause. She confirms what we've all found out, that what worked for us in our thirties may not be effective anymore during menopause.

Dr. Haver and I also discuss the challenges women face during menopause, including weight gain, hormonal changes, and the importance of understanding hormones beyond just estrogen. She highlights the significance of managing inflammation through proper nutrition and habits.
And guess what? Midlife fitness and nutrition are the top two components of the "menopause toolkit" for maintaining health during this phase of life.
