Feel like you have food issues but can’t seem to get to the bottom of them? What if stress eating is a sign you’re going into survival mode? Ali Shapiro went from enrolling herself in weight watchers at 11 to cancer by 13 and stress eating each time a scan came up to see if her cancer had returned. Ali eventually discovered the stress and regular cancer screenings connection and went on to develop the Truce with Food program while in graduate school, where she drew from her decade plus of working with real life clients and her own personal healing journey from emotional eating and having cancer as a teenager. Ali Shapiro is the host of the top-ranked podcast Insatiable, a holistic nutritionist, integrated health coach, and rebel with a serious cause. In this episode of The Health Fix Podcast, Dr. Jannine Krause interviews Ali on how the need to feel safe drives you to stress eat.

  • What happens when tracking macros doesn't solve your food issues?
