Welcome to episode 178 of the Women’s Running podcast. I’m your host Esther Newman and she’s your other host Holly Taylor. On this podcast we talk about health, politics, stuff on TV and what we ate last night. Occasionally, we talk about running.

We’re British, so we begin today’s podcast talking about the weather. Because, well, the weather has been insane.

New York half marathon

Then we move on to our goals and some chats about one of them, which is running a half marathon in New York in April – and that’s one you can join us in, check the show notes for a link to find out more.

Half marathon training

I talk about a half marathon that’s a bit closer than that, and my worries about my training and how I’m going to get myself race ready in (gulp) four weeks.

Goals and races

We also talk about goals, and Holly has a VAST one to talk about. So we need your thoughts and help. Where do you look for races? Do you know of a lovely big autumn marathon? Or what about an entry level ultra with no mud? We don’t think we’re asking the impossible!
