As many of you may know, I am retiring as AVN President on June 30th this year. Yes, really! It's finally happening.

And I can rest easy because the person taking over this difficult and often thankless role is none other than Aneeta Hafemeister, past AVN President and amazing researcher, activist, mum, unschooling parent and someone with a heart as big as the big country she and her family farm.

Tonight, we will be discussing a range of issues from the past, present and the future of this organisation and this country.

PS - For a very short time, before life got in the way, Aneeta and I established a weekly podcast called Two Chicks from the Sticks. Perhaps we will try to revive this again now that my time will be a bit freer?
