On today's episode of Yours Mentally we talk about Digital Detox. This episode is in conversation with Ruchika Jain who is a Counselling Psychologist.
We begin the episode by asking Ruchika that in these times, how can we engage in a digital detox, considering the fact that we all work or study from home and all our work is on our devices.
We then go on to ask what is doom scrolling and what are its harmful side effects?
We then ask Ruchika to tell us a few signs and symptoms that will help us decide when we need to take a digital detox.
We also discuss in what ways has social media platforms led to increased anxiety and deteriorating mental health.
We ask Ruchika to give a few tips to someone who wants to do a digital detox but is struggling to do one.
We then talk about how can we help make social media and the internet as a whole a safer and a less toxic place.
We also ask Ruchika whether digital detoxes something we should make a part of our weekly/ monthly routines? How often do you think people should do one?
Lastly, we ask Ruchika what are some benefits and some changes you might see in yourself after doing a digital detox?
