We hear from Alex O'Rourke, co-founder of LockSmith Consulting, tutor at The Copy Club and a qualified Life & Career Coach. Alex brings the varied wealth of her career in beverages (mixers, beers, spirits and more) to bear on her work a a career coach, helping people plan their way into the areas they wish to work in, or helping them decide on the next steps if they have reached a crossroads. Alex gives us the insights into how best to manage yourself and also to assess your options as you navigate a career path that may have more squiggles than straight lines.
We also welcome another guest to our "Desert Island" where they can choose to bring only one drink with them. This time it's the turn of Kevin Hurley, General Manager of Balffe's @ The Wesbury in Dublin. Kevin is the proud owner of possibly the squiggliest CV in the drinks industry. From planning sewage systems to flipping Mighty Mac's to building Whiskey brands to crafting cocktails, Kevin has seen it all and has sage advice for those on either side of the interview table /Zoom call. Plus he picks a corker of a drink for the island a describes exactly how to make it perfectly.
Not only that, Will and Foxy discuss the beverage related antics at Euro 2020 and reflect on their own careers and how there is no such thing as a "sideways move".
